Boral Brick Salisbury, NC
Plant 6 Lines 1 & 2
As you can see this plant has been here for a while. Our challenge was to improve on a plant that had been "Fine Tuned" for 20 years. The end result was a large order from Boral Brick for a Pugmaster Plus in all their plants.

This is Plant 6 Lines 1 & 2

Water Control was performed by the Pug Operator using a very common device that we call the "Water Tree". These things seem to grow over the years.

We replaced that with our "Water Control System"

We measured the Clay Feed and the Returns.

Large fluctuations are common at this plant.

The Vacuum Gage was replaced with an Absolute Pressure Transmitter.

The Pugmaster Plus Control Panel was installed down on the making line alongside their existing panel.

All liquids are added at the "Water Shroud".

The results were greater than expected.

Making Brick is now easier, faster, and the quality is much improved.

This project started when Brandon Denmon was Plant Manager. He has moved twice since then. His replacement, Mike Kuvinka was a key player in the installation of three systems. This is a picture of Brandon and Pete Stamey when they both had hair.
